Student Visa & Post Grad work permit

I while back I used this site to get info on what my boyfriend should do in regards to his Student visa. The student visa was only good until about a month before school ended. It was recomended that he extend the student visa until school was officially over which I believe was April 30. Then when he had proof he had passed his course he should apply for a post grad work permit so he could continue to stay here.

However we have still not heard back on if he got the extention, and in a week or 2 I believe we should get the results that he passed his course. He is worried that he still hasnt gotten word about the student visa. Is that going to affect applying for the work permit?

Any help would be great. I want him to stay here with me DX

well wht i understan tht u hv already applied fr extension for student permit???right??
so in ths case if u apply any permits u gt a time of 90 days to wait fr the answe from cic and to stay in canada evn aftr ur previous permit gt expired ...
fr gettin an extension on ur study permit u ll hv to gt a letter fr the international centre of ur college sayin tht whn is ur course gettin over oficially,,,jst gettin the results does nt mean tht ur course is over....it will take u few more weeks to get ur transcripts too..

It still worries me that he hasnt gotten the answer about the extention. His student visa was done March 31, but classes/exams werent done until April 30. And now its May, is that a normal amount of time? Does it take more than 2 months to get a reply from them. If they give you 90 days then we should get it sometime this month right?

Without that reply will it still be ok to send the application for the post grad work permit once we have the transcripts/letter.

Hi friends,
I am new in this section. I applied a year ago for PR. Its very uncertain and time consuming to get PR soon. I want to apply for study permit. Can you guide me for the following questions:

a) Do we need to pay first year's fees in advance?
b) Is that ok If I show my husband or My father in law's bank statments as a proof of fund with my own bank statment
c) How long it generaly takes to get study permit from ND VO?
d) Do we need to show PCC from how long. I mean after 18 all where we traveled for more than 6 months?
e) How long it takes to get admission latter from university?
