I would like to attend a nine-month Diploma Program in Canada. I have been conditionally accepted into the program, however I have been requested to successfully complete a two-week bridging course in Toronto. I will not be fully accepted into the full nine-month program until after successfully completing the two week bridging course.
The official Citizenship and Immigration Canada states:
Students may produce a conditional letter of acceptance indicating that they will be allowed to register at the institution upon successful completion of a prerequisite program. When the completion of a prerequisite program, such as English as a second language (ESL) or French as a second language (FSL), is a condition for enrolment in a subsequent program, officers shall issue a study permit for the length of the prerequisite ESL or FSL program only. Students who successfully complete their prerequisite program will then need to apply for a new study permit and demonstrate they have completed the admission requirements.
The nine month program begins immediately following the two week bridging course, leaving no time for a new study permit application.
How can I be approved to attend the entire program including the nine-month course following the bridging program?
