I have applied to Hansa Language Center for Intensive English program (1 year), have paid half the fees in advance, and got the acceptance letter. Now I will apply through CIC Islamabad. But I have heard that you wont get visa on language program. I have a 7.5 in IELTS and have done GCE O levels in 2011. I have a study plan that should be convince-able for the visa officer that I would come back to my home country after the end of my course. I want to know my chances of getting a visa. I don't really have much of a choice to change my program course.
Visa chances will be slim to none.
Because mostly language courses are of 4 months. Which doesn't require study permit.
And with 7.5 IELTS bands you're applying for English Program ? What is wrong with you ?
Just apply for program similar to your previous studies. And apply in Public-funded colleges only.
Coming all the way so far and spending so much to learn English doesn't make sense.
I am applying for language course as I want to come back and teach English, but I dont want formal education. The duration for the language program isn't 4 mouths, it's as long as I want it to be, and I applied for the full year.
Any way to maximize my visa chances? Or do you think it's so rare that I should change my program. And if so, any recommendations would be highly appreciated.

Its very difficult for anyone to say that you will get visa or not.
But one thing is clear that having IELTS of 7.5 and then going for English program will certanily put doubt in VO's mind.
I don't know about your previous education/exp to comment further.
