If a minor child is travelling alone
The child should present:
a letter of authorization, in English or French if possible, and signed by both parents or by their legal guardian which lists:
the parents’ (or legal guardian’s) address and telephone number, and
the name, address and telephone number of the adult who will look after the child in Canada.
I am 17. My problem is, I am going to travel to go to university to study, so how will I present "the name...of the adult who will look after the child in Canada."?

If you are under 18 or 19 in some provinces, you’ll need a custodian. Typically the school helps you find one (usually a school staff) if you don’t know anyone in Canada. So do ask your school and keep the info of that custodian handy. The school will require your parents to sign and notarize the custodian declaration form (from CIC website).
