I checked, nothing there except review is required, so either they didn't start or they know the decision without writing it.
Once again, many thanks...I really hope this is a positive sign.. next week is my last week before I have to apply for deferal and most probably, I will have to defer a full year due to my program regulations. I don't mind to start online, in fact it is much better for me but I need the approval at least so I will not waste my money in case it was rejected.
I actually considering requesting GCMS notes to know where my application actually heading. It would be so cruel for IRCC to issue AIP to those applicant who is behind the scene rejected. But we all know they caveat themselves that there is possible refusal on 2nd stage. What if they knew your application is refused but they issued AIP anyway to keep you paying for tuition? Then 2nd stage is refusal after doing online classes for sometime and the tuition is non-refundable.
Im wondering if there’s anyone here with GCMS note and AIP. If you receive AIP that’s going to be a big issue.

That would be the worst horror movie ever! I hope ircc would not do that to the poor applicants. As per ircc rule if u pass 1st stage means u pass eligibility review. But everything can happen in a horror movie.
Yeah better to apply for the notes. U ll save some of ur nerve cells. Waiting is tedious.
The week in UAE has almost ended. No updates in my application. I sent email to the embassy in Abu Dhabi, they replied within half an hour that I need to submit webform as they are monitoring it closely. However, no reply to the webform.

No update from my application too. I’m worried if until when the colleges/Univ financially capable of students doing refund. How are they covering operational expenses with the low intake on may and sept. Alot already deferring to 2021. Maybe one of the reason they’re not issuing final refusal to avoid refunds and protect colleges financially.
Anyone got approved recently for student permit and applied from UAE.
My permit is under review since 28 Feb and no update since then. I did medical test and I have already biometrics in the system, as I have visit visa from before. Typical processing duration from UAE is 5 weeks.
Please, can you tell how did you apply to the student permit, and how did you choose the school and program, please need some help to start the process, and got lost with too much information..
Am also an engineer, and applying from bahrain..
Thank you in advance

Hi Nibal
There are many universities in Canada.
You can follow these steps:
- Decide which province you want to stay in
- Check DLI Universities in your chosen province https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...re/designated-learning-institutions-list.html
- Check if they have programs that you want to apply for
- once you choose one, check admission criteria and if you need to do extra exams to apply
- if you meet all requirements, apply to the university online ..each uni has their own steps and portal
- once you get admission offer, you can apply to study permit
- follow each step in CIC website to apply...it is clear and simple
Guys, I already deferred my application to the next term :/ (Winter 2021) Thankfully, NAIT is fast in terms of processing deferrals. Let’s just hope that the visa comes out before end of the year
