Student loan after PR

I am planning to move to Canada as a PR in March. I will need student loan around August. Will I be able to get student loan considering I have no credit history or nothing to show as a collateral . If yes, then what is the max amount that can be sanctioned.

It would be tough to convince a bank to give a loan since you have been in the country for just a few months. but it could also depend on your credit history and financial standing so far. better to check on this forum https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/forums/international-students.2/

You can also apply for a govt student loan. As a PR you are eligible to apply, however they do require a credit check as well but i am not sure what their criteria would be. It's very hard to get unsecured loans from banks if you don't have good credit history.
