Lets be reasonable and rational about this. If gmmbbs is in canada right now and can satisfy the requirements for a study permit and get all the documents he needs together why does the "law" prevent him from applying from within Canada? Why does he have to leave and apply from the USA or his home country? Explain the logic?

Yes - there is a regulation in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act that prevents gmmbbs from applying within Canada. rjessome has already quoted the relevant sections.

Why are you telling gmmbbs to do something that will ultimately fail? That's unethical, unkind and not what this board is about.

Is your ego so big that you can't admit when you are wrong? Look, nobody is perfect on here. We all learn things as we go. But refusing to learn is just plain stupid and discredits everything good you might have to offer.
