I am a Canadian Citizen. I married someone from Central America and we lived there until his death. He had a daughter who I am close with and is seeking to immigrate to Canada. I have a daughter from a previous marriage. Can my husband's daughter put on her express entry application that my daughter is her step-sister although my husband had not adopted her?
In the event that the answer to the above is yes, would my daughter have any legal and/or financial obligations towards my husband's daughter?

Thank you. So if I am understanding you correctly, my husband's daughter cannot claim my daughter as her step-sister since a) there is no common parent and b) the legal relationship (if there was one) between the two daughters ceased when my husband died.
