@legalfalcon
Dear Sir
My husband is a principal applicant and applied for permanent residency whose passport is expiring in Feb 2022. The status of my case is decision made however, we are waiting for visa stamping and official PR letter as i know through CBSA notes that my file has been approved since December 2020. Now my query is should we apply for fresh passport or will they stamp visa on existing passport having less then six month of expiry.
Thankyou

IRCC asks that the passport be valid for at least 6 months or more. So ideally you should get the passport renewed asap and send the copy of the new passport via webform.

Sir but in CBSA notes shows our visas and copr are ready to print however we are waiting for the PR letter if we apply for new passport do you think this will not create any issue?

It does not matter if you wait any longer and try to send in a passport with less than 6 months on it you will delay the process even more than you think. Wait for the letter but get the new passport ASAP.

It will not create any issues, instead when the PR visa / COPR is issued you will get the maximum validity allowing you more time to land since the PR visa cannot be issued beyond the validity of your passport.

If your are outside Canada, then if a PPR email would have been sent, but was placed on hold.
This is what this note means, that Ready For Visa letter was sent via email in batch,, but no correspondence was generated in your GCMS as it was a batch message sent to multiple applications,.
