So my friend refugee claim was denied, and he applied for humanitarian and compassionate grounds. He is been living in a country for more then 6 years or so. Recently someone told me if he can get a sponsorship from his employer where he is been employed for years he might be eligible for status chnage and get permanent residency quickly. Is this true is he eligible to get a sponsorship from his employer.

What province is he living in? Look at PNP programs with job offer. Will be based on NOC, education, skill, language etc. Some provinces focus on specific NOCs. He cannot just change status and no such thing as PR quickly. Is H&C still in process because not sure if eligible for PR through immigration programs.
