good morning, I have a query regarding SUV program quota.
earlier inventory reveled 6000 applications currently in queue for processing. how can GC accommodate this many SUV applicants where as the annual quota is 1000 ? (correct me if my facts are wrong please!)

@cybertruck - not sure where you are getting the number of 6000 applications. As per IRCC, as of Oct 2021 there were appox. 1,300 SUV PR applications under processing. And that includes applications from 2020 also, so it's well within in the 1000 annual quota.

okay thanks for replying. so as per the GC website, processing time is 31-months so if we apply in May 2022, fairly speaking the application will be finalized by early 2025.
can we say Canada is going to put Pause on immigration after 2024 more specifically on Start Up visa Federal program ?

It's hard to say as 31 months is average processing time and based on the current delays and priortization of other streams, it looks like SUV will take longer than 31 months. Most of us have not received any update in 24 months, so fair to say it's an easy 3 years wait time unless they do something dramatic.
And nobody knows if they plan to pause SUV or any other programs. So your guess is as good as anyone else.
