Hi
I recently submitted my PR application, also applied for bridging work permit approximately more than a month ago.
Can I start a new job on implied status ? Will I be eligible to get EI ?
My work permit has expired, along with my SIN number.
If anyone can assist with this ??
You can,
even with an expired SIN . Since employers may not always understand this, you may want to print out your application receipt and the relevant page from the government website explaining what implied status is.
Has anyone actually worked during being on implied status?
Thanks for your reply.
Could you please share your experience? Did you get paid eventhough your SIN expired?

I am currently on the implied status and working too. Your SIN number remains active and you can legally work in Canada until IRCC makes a decision on your application.
