hey jerry
my timelines r similar as urs..noc however is different..going by ur caips notes, would it be a safe presumption to assume that my file would also be at a similar stage of processing as urs..?
Hi all I think new rule has put more emphesis on language, this is what I could understand about points for language from Canada Gazette link. Explaination by hotheart007 was by mistake done on existing point system.
First Official Language:
Maximum 24 points
New Mandatory Minimum
Minimum threshold in all abilities
Initially set at CLB/NCLC 7 band 4 pts per ability (16 points)
Threshold + 1 CLB/NCLC level i.e 8 band 5 pts per ability (20 points)
Threshold + 2 CLB/NCLC level i.e 9 band 6 pts per ability (24 points)
So below 7 band will not get any points

Matter of Hope for MI-1 applicants

Nature Lover's query:
@ kenneyjason
Pls consider clearing all backlog before taking in fresh FSW apps this time. Sad to see LIFO of apps of same NOCs but newer MIs
Jason Kenney's reply:
@ 1naturelover
That's why we have put a pause on new FSW applications, to allow us to focus on eliminating the backlog in that program.
Wonderful!!
Immigration Minister Jason Kenney has stated that “the new Skilled Worker program will be limited to applicants in NOCs O, A, and B, but won’t be limited to particular occupations.”
While the Minister has said that there won’t be a limitation on particular occupations, it is expected that there will be an overall cap or limit to the number of applications that will be accepted for assessment by CIC.
Kenny has said that under the new policy no particular occupations would be outlined for eligibility under FSW class. Above statement makes it clear that most probably they would not delay the processing of files of applicants under 4131 or other such NOC codes because these NOCs were removed from MI2 and MI3.

You are right. But they never gave any priority to some occupations (like 3152) over the others (like 4131) under the same MI. It was only a miss-conception by the applicants like us.

NDVO is totally unpredictable.

Nature Lover's Query
1/2 @kenneyjason Greetings Sir. VOs like New Delhi have comparatively HUGE backlog of FSW MI1 apps
2/2 @kenneyjason Why not increase their annual visa quota or at least restrict taking new apps temporarily from that region?
Jason Kenney's Reply
@1naturelover The only new FSWP applications we're taking now are for those with Arranged Employment Offers, & the in-Canada PhD stream.
@1naturelover MI1 applications are at the front of the FSWP queue, and CIC is making good progress on processing them, worldwide. #cdnimm
Really? ???
.
Unfortunately we Fail to see the Claimed Progress
