I must have missed on that than. I would suggest you pay your tuition fee from loan amount which will be around CAD 13000. there is still an option which you can utilize, if this a genuine loan, ask your bank to disburse the amount. You can pay your tuition fee from bank loan and ask your bank to directly pay it to your college which they will gladly do. and for rest amount, ask them to disburse in your account and from there you can purchase GIC from it. However, in any case, if GIC needs to be purchased, Deadline for applying for GIC was 15th March for may intake.
Well Dear, banks do disburse the amount before Visa only. But the problem is, they transfer the funds to a loan account which I am sure will be jointly owned by you and your legal guardian like your father or mother. CHC states (Scotia Bank Guideline) funds must originate from the account owned by student only else they will return the funds. Now, that's a problem. and if you do not purchase GIC, you need to apply under general category which I at least won't recommend at all. SPP is a much faster mode and has more success rate than general.
At last, my suggestion will be - you pay entire year tuition fee from education loan which will create no problem at all and your bank will do so without waiting for VIsa (that's a standard process) and you arrange CAD10K for yourself to buy GIC. '

1. Bank disburse loan before visa if it's mentioned on the LOA/written proof. From bankers there is always a joint a/c condition for students/parents and it's not an issue if student is one of the a/c holder.
ohhh my god....
how will be visa chances in general for spp college.
my agent told that no difference in visa evaluation but general will tak time for processing.....
der is no other route for me i have to drop my file under general..
seniors suggest me any extra document which i can improve my visa chances in general category....
Your Agent is partially right. If the candidate's profile is good then in general category also people get visa. though yes visa processing time is bit longer than SPP. If you are applying for September Intake, i suggest you drop your file in April for visa processing. If it's for May intake, then do it today itself.
