I am the primary applicant and will be doing the landing sometime in July. My wife however will be unable to do the landing before the expiry of her visa. I understand that this will mean that she will have to go through the PR process all over again. Unfortunately there is no other option for us right now.
I would like to know if I can still get the PR card issued for myself when I do the landing? My concern is can they deny me the PR card in this case as my spouse's qualifications were also considered while calculating the CRS score.
If you land not on the last day before it expires you may say (if asked!) that wife is coming later.
However, if your first post is just about covering up a situation that you wife is not coming at all (you are separated and/or in a process of divorce), then that lie will come back and bite you in your butt, when you apply for Citizenship. CIC will look in your file and will see that your applied with a wife, got points for her, and then she never came and you divorced relatively soon after your landing.
I did my medicals on August 27th last year. So I'm assuming the expiry on the visa will be around August 27th with a buffer of maybe 2 weeks max. My wife however cannot travel until October 1 as she is in the US and is in the middle of her H1b process. I will be receiving my stamped passport tomorrow, so will know the exact expiry date then.

I would still be lying to them saying she will come later, knowing that she cannot travel before October 1. Dunno how much will that come back and bite me in the butt! :-X :-\
There is not going to be a buffer for after Aug 27. Expiry date will be August 27 2016 (or 26th). A month (end of July to Aug 27) is a reasonable time to say , if asked, that your wife is following you soon.
And because is is a short period of time - it could happen that your wife missed it because of a very important reason (do not know if waiting for H1 IS an important reason for CIC but because you create problems only for yourself- I think they will NOT bother much).
