CoPR expiry is for first landing or receiving PR card?

Hi All,

The expiry date for the CoPR is for the first landing in Canada or to receive the PR card? Because the average time to receive the card is about 60 days, should i get the PR card before my medical expires?

There is no connection between the PR card issue and the validity of the medical. The latter is linked to the COPR not the PR card.
