Spouse Sponsorship - Pakistan

Hello Everyone,

I submitted my spouse sponsorship application in April 2019. I became Canadian Citizen in May 2019. I am currently working in Canada and my spouse lives in Pakistan.

I have a question, I am planning to go to Pakistan and stay there till my application gets completed.

Is that possible? Like I would have to resign here and I may work there temporarily till the application gets completed.

Please let me know what are the options for me?

You can do this. However, you need to update IRCC with your new address and will likely be requested to submit proof of intent to return to Canada before the app is finished.

application received (AOR1): Aug 2019
sponsor's eligibility approval: Nov 2019
Medical request and biometric: Dec 2019
Medical passed: Dec 2019.
application forwarded to London office: Feb 2020

Can somebody please guide me on two things.
1) how long is it going to take after my application has been forwarded to London office.
2) can I apply for my husband's visit visa meanwhile his application is in process. Also, do we have to show any bank statement or financial status for his visit visa.

1. Posted processing time is 12 months.

2. He can apply but with a sponsorship app in process, chances are very low. Yes, he needs to show sufficient finances for a trip.

An year means Aug 2020 (starting from the day cic received my application)? Or one year from the date my application forwarded to London office??
