Spouse Sponsorship and Moving

Hello All,

About me : I came to Toronto, Canada as a Student in 2014. After completing my studies, i moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 2016. Since then i have been living in Winnipeg. I got my PR status in May, 2019. I got married in April 2019 and applied for my wife's PR in July 2019.

Questions: My question is once my wife gets her PR, can i move to Ontario right away or do i have to spend some time here in Manitoba ?

As far as I know there is no reason you would have to stay in Manitoba. You have PR and can move about freely.

Did you landed as single when you got pr ?
Was you married when you got your COPR?

If you got married in April and landed as a PR in May, you committed misrepresentation by failing to add your spouse to your PR app. She is forever excluded from the Family Class and you cannot sponsor her. The sponsorship app will be refused.

Ah sorry, I misread. I thought you said your wife got her PR in July.
