You can also try checking your status by email on abu dhabi visa office website. You just have to fill up the form online and type in your questions. We tried that 3 times, so far, they responded to our all 3 follow ups. But they are not that prompt in responding. the longest we waited for their response was 1 month after. Just don't make several follow ups, it might upset the visa officer. You can do follow ups once every 2 months. Since you just sent additional docs last January, you can send a follow up email to them, also to double check if everything you sent was alright. You can also try the help of your husband's MP to make follow up on your application.
Hi snowman.may I know how did you sent follow up to Abu Dhabi visa office about your application? Because my husband every month always sending email and they replied please allow time for processing.6 months we don't know about my husband application. Thanks
Loveu check your E-cas with your File number and you will access where is your husband process is at this point. Because everyone is different they might send you direct PPR never know. Did you submit your PCC along with your file or waiting for police certificate request letter from Visa Section?
Hi Guys,
I live in Qatar and have applied for family class PR visa. My wife got her sponsorship approval around end of December 2012 in Canada, and my application was sent to Abu Dhabi office. They (Abu Dhabi office) received my application on the 27th of January 2013. And since then I am waiting. Now is there anyone who can tell me if family class PR applications that applied through Abu Dhabi's visa office are affected by the strike action?

hello mrsldr,
if you are leaving Abu dhabi then you can not apply from here, your visa office will be according to your country. Why you are applying from Abu Dhabi if you are leaving this country?
1. File number is located on top of the page and all forms bar code must be print as well and fill out whatever they are asking you.
2.yeah you have to give all your travel history and all those question and just leave FC3 form if you dont have any kids.

omg thanks a lot seeuu!! this gives me some hope... however i don't really think the strike has ended... I am following their facebook page everyday and they are still negotiating with the govt about their terms.. nevertheless, it seems like the abu dhabi visa office is still operational... i just hope they ask for sumthing sumtime soon before my medical test or like my police clearance expires... i dun even knw if i should contact them... some one told me contacting them pisses them off and tht affects ur visa approval process... wht do you suggest? and congrats on ur progress... may Allah be with you two...

yes i did.. i only got an automated reply saying that they won't respond to my email if the answer to the question that i ask is already available on their web site. and since then i haven't heard anything from them. i asked them if the strike affects abudhabi's VO and its applicants...
They always said your waiting time is 6 to 12 months and sometimes they send email and it goes to your junk make sure to check your junk folder. IN SHAA ALLAH you guys will hear good news very soon, and one more thing dont email again and again they will never reply.
