Good morning everyone!

My Husband is in Calgary and he applied a visa for me and it is now under process in Abu Dhabi visa office.

MY TIMELINE:

September 13, 2012-Application for permanent residence along with Medical Report received @ Mississauga
October 31, 2012-Application File number received and been informed that Application for Permanent Residence has been forwarded their visa office abroad (in Abu Dhabi)
January 08, 2013-Application Received in Abu Dhabi, got their file number and requested for the AOM and payment of Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)
January 21, 2013- Payment Done (sent scanned copy of the payment receipt to Abu Dhabi by e-mail on Jan. 24, 2013)
January 23, 2013-Original Advisory On Marriages (AOM) sent to Abu Dhabi

After that, no further feedback as of yet...what's the next procedure? Does it mean that I only have to wait for their request of my original passport to be sent to them for my visa stamping?

Check you document request letter they mention full address so just type it as it is

Did you got any document request yet ? mostly they ask from you and ur canadian spouse some questioner once ur file has been transfer in visa section also they ask for residency for you canadian spouse and mostly for Police certificate for current country. Check this you will get some idea where are you at this point, but off course every one have different situation and processing time just pray.

Hi,,, next step is Additional Documents Request, after that it will takes from 2 to 3 months to get the PPR if your case straight without any complication ;-) now you have to wait till you hear from V.O soon ,,

I also read from other posts the VO can extend the medical for 2 months if they are only waiting for the result of background checks. So it's possible that you get your PPR in the coming days... keep on praying...

my husband's medical done last year in September 19, 2012 is it valid for one year? if its valid for year, according to you snowman they will send us PPR in June 19, 2013 IN SHA ALLAH. I am leaving for canada next month alone I am planing to come back in june please suggest me should I wait there or come back in june if they issue visa in june IN SHA ALLAH no point to come back, I am so confuse & stuck ???

Yes, medical is valid for 1 year. We waited 8 months before we received the PPR. However, we never had any document requests. I guess, our application was complete. Document request adds waiting time. But still, everyone's situation is different. If your husband has been into a lot of different countries, then his background checks takes longer too. So, I really do not know if you will get PPR in June. Nonetheless, it could happen earlier than June too. Nobody knows. If you have lots of money, you can still come back to KSA and go to Canada together with your husband..

You can also try checking your status by email on abu dhabi visa office website. You just have to fill up the form online and type in your questions. We tried that 3 times, so far, they responded to our all 3 follow ups. But they are not that prompt in responding. the longest we waited for their response was 1 month after. Just don't make several follow ups, it might upset the visa officer. You can do follow ups once every 2 months. Since you just sent additional docs last January, you can send a follow up email to them, also to double check if everything you sent was alright. You can also try the help of your husband's MP to make follow up on your application.
