Spouse Open Work permit

Hi Experts,
Need your help.
I am an international student in Canada since Sep 2019 for a two year course. I am planning to apply for my wife's OWP and my 12 year old kid on a study permit (from outside Canada)

Could you be able to help me what documents are required exactly. I am asking coz after I filled the details in come to Canada tool. It does not give any information of documents required other than Passport, photos and marriage certificate.

Please help. Look forward to hearing from you.

I have sponsored the PR for my spouse but since the timelines in Quebec are really long, I would like to apply for an Open Work permit in the meantime. (because the processing timelines are faster compared to PR)

I want to know if there are any extra steps to take specifically for Quebec as my spouse would need to come work here in Quebec. ????
The quebec MIFI website doesnt talk about Open work permit (only mentions about employer specific work permit I feel).

1, Assuming it is an overseas application, you spouse is not eligible for an open work permit.

Thank you for the response. Yes my spouse is not staying with me. Could you please let me know if I could first apply a visitor visa and once in-land, I can then apply for an Open Work Permit ? Is that possible.

ok on further research it seems that I cant apply Open work permit even if I get my spouse into canada through a visitor visa. Because I already initiated the Outland PR process.
Open work permit is allowed only for Inland-PR applicants.

Your child should only need a TRV.

Today my status in "Review of medical results" changed as "We are reviewing the results of your medical exam " But I haven't got any mails. What does this status change implies? Any idea? Do anyone got this situation before?

Note: I haven't done upfront medical.

I have the same situation, i've applied to closed WP and have not done medicals upfront, but my online status changed to "We are reviewing the results of your medical exam ", is it means that i should get Medical request soon? thanks

My wife has got a canada work permit (ICT) before 2 months and she is yet to travel to canada. I have applied for a spouse open work permit now. After I get the Open work permit, Can I travel to canada for work or should I travel only after my wife's travel ? Please someone advise.
