Spouse Open Work permit

I am on study permit. I applied for my wife’s SOWP on 11th February,2019 and got refusal on 18 March under section 205 c 2.

After MP inquiry and knowing the reason of refusal, I applied again on 15th May with upfront medical this time. They sent an e-mail that something is wrong in medical even before lodging the file. On same day, we got medical done again that is showing YOU PASSED THE MEDICAL in GcKey. Review is under process.


Don’t know what will happen now. Surprising is that a lot of my known got their positive decision even in 2-3 days. Idk on what factors, decision time depends

Yayyy, finally got my wife's open work permit approved after 6 weeks. All the best to fellow applicants.

From my experience, i would just say, just wait patiently for the update from the CIC, because if your documents are right then they won't contact you and you will only receive approval, it's just matter of time how fast they pickup your application.
