It's tricky if your wife is still a student--you need to show a decent amount of money, enough for you and your wife. Make sure to show sufficient proof of your relationship as well. 1. Even for your spouse you need to apply "Application for Work Permit Made Outside Canada [IMM 1295]" if you need open work permit
2. Specify open work permit.

If you are from a country/territory which requires a temporary resident visa (TRV) ( ), you have also been issued a visa. This visa has been affixed in your passport, and is valid for multiple visits to Canada until it expires.)

CIC status changed to Approved on July 18, 2017.

Depends which VISA office you used. For us it goes to Singapore Visa office and it seems it is a 16-17 weeks process for us.

Hey Ush, Did you apply online or was it a paper application? My wife submitted a paper application on June 20th via VSF. We haven't heard anything at all from CIC nor can we link the application online.
