hi my case is same , i applied for my wife in chandigarh on 3/march/2016. my consultant told me if we if our permanent residency application is in process CIC dont give any decision on SOWP application.

Hey I don't know why your consultant said that..... but I read on forum there were many people who attached PNP for their SOWP....

Even I have attached PNP for my Spouse visa and open work permit... and in cover letter we mentioned that we have applied for PR.

We got med req after 58 days and now waiting for Passport request.

what did u tweet the high commissioner? whats ur twitter account? all of us have this 72 hour thing coming suddenly but still we need to register our urgency with cic.

Yeah i am positive and expecting that...... Because last time i applied for my spouse we got refusal in 54days...

Ths time we got the medical request in 58 days... So that a sign of approval right But no update after our medicals which were done on 13th July..

After Medical ... i just checked that thing few days back but it was showing open and in progress... because we dint checked on CIC account.. this one is easy to check right.. But i am just going to call hospital today because they said it takes 5-7 days to send reports to CIC.. So wondering that may be the reason.

Some of them gets in 37 days .. but you guys been waiting so long.. that literally sucks..

Thanks. What does it show for 'A final decision has been reached:'? 'In Progress' or something else?

I had gotten that link for checking the application status on this forum-it was posted by someone several weeks ago. I don't think the 72 hours means anything - it might be a standard message on there.
