Spouse Open Work permit

Hi Everybody,

My wife got the medical yestarday.. what's the next step ? Do we need to upload anything after medical on our CIC account or Doctor do that ? Please update if we need to do any other uploads or update to CIC ... ! My w8fe will be going for medicals in mid next week.

I applied Online for my wife from here (Canada). on 9th May.... Got medical yesterday 8th July. Doing medicals on 18th july...

Hello Guys,

I had one query regarding Open work permit. My wife is going for project form India to Canada and as such her company has asked her to apply for Work permit for a year. I am thinking for applying for Open work permit for myself along with her application.

My question is am i able to work for one year in case my wife need to written back to India (in case her project is over in 6 months). Or do i need to come back along with her ?

Yes, your SOWP is valid only till your spouse's work permit.

My employment letter states my NOC code (1122) but doesnt mention my job responsibilities. Is it an issue? Moreover, I have submitted my PNP nomination certificate letter along with the application. Shall I request a new letter from my employer mentioning my job responsibilities as well and submit it through CSE?

Also, I have submitted only last 2 months salary slips (total 4 of bi-monthly)? Shall I submit more using CSE?

Well you don't need to submit I just submitted one month pay stubs... and I did attach PNP so that clarifies everything about your job NOC code. Don't worry all will be good in no time.

Hi bro,
I want to ask about the required documents for open work permit for spouse. In your own case, did you include her family information form in her OWP application. I noticed there was no space to download/upload the document when I created account and answered the questionnaire for the open work permit application. Isn't it required for SOWP?
