Hello I am using a lawyer to submit my application for spouse wp both of us are in canada can you tell me how long does it take to receive the work permit and do they send online application or paper application ?

Canadian Lawyers will be applying online in your case. Nowadays it takes 30-45 days for inland SOWP applications.

You have option to choose among both. Based on processing time online application is faster. I have notice one person recently got there SOWP with in month. Paper application gives you option to just make a big pile of file as proof.

I did receive an email from CIC few hours later about the same.

Hi all,

I got a medical request from CIC on 12th April and I got my medical done 14th April. The hospital say they submitted the medicals on 20th of April.. Talking to my attorney, she says CIC notifies the receipt of report. So notifying means acceptance of the report or passing medicals? I m confused.. Please help me.

Initial notification would be for receiving of Medicals.

Second notification would be if Medicals are Passed

Hi,

Would you mind sharing what are the reasons to refuse your spouse's previous applications? Did you get GCMS for both refusals?

I persume you are on PGWP. The letter from your employer should state your salary, your designation and your duties and responsibilities in the job.



Thanks Greenhak for your quick response. Right know i am on pg work permit. I applied for my wife two times when i was a Student, first time when i appiled for her as a visitor the reasons stated as strong ties, travel history, low sufficient funds, will not leave canada at the end of the stay and second time when i appiled her sowp the reasons were 'You have not demonstrated that you come within the exceptions under section 186 of the Regulations exempting you from the requirement to obtain a work permit or that your
employment in Canada comes within the exceptions to section 203 of the Regulations. As a
result, your offer of employment must be the subject of an economic effect determination before
a work permit can be issued to you. Your employer in Canada should contact the local office of
Service Canada to begin this process." And other reason was you have not submitted the certificate of acception du quebec, travel history,family ties in canada,purpose of visit,personal assets,financial status,immigration status in country of residence

Im not understanding what to do know Please reply ASAP I dint und the reason they specified.

Here is am letting u guys how to link paper applications online.
Please open an online account with cic on the applicant's name.
Select category as temporary residents
Sub category as: international holiday worker instead of work permit.
Give all the details as usual
Finally u will get 4 questions answer no to all and then submit it will work.
I think it will work because it work for me

Yes, it did work surprisingly. Even though my application is approved I just wanted to try and confirm it for you rest people. So yes it do work and following are the steps:-

Category - Temporary residence
Sub category - International Experience Canada

then rest your personal details

and last topic about applicant's work in canada -

Ques- Type of work employment offer in canada - NONE

Rest all four ques: NO

And that's it. It will show we found your application and if you would like to continue it will be attached to your MYCIC account.
