I have applied for the Spouse Open work permit in online. The status has been changed to approved. I have not received any permit in the CIC messages.
How will I receive the permit? Via mail?
You must have submitted your passport via some means courier / VFS etc.
It should return via same method. Check with the courier / VFS. If you received email with in a day or so, wait a while. It could be off by a day or two.
That's interesting. That would only work if you are from a Visa exempt country i.e. do not require a visa to enter Canada such as England etc.
In that case you should receive work permit approval via the same online system.
But then i would wonder, if you had an LMO too why didn't you directly get a work permit at Port of entry unless you are a in a profession which requires applying before hand - such as live in caregiver, since they need medicals in advance.
