Spouse Open Work Permit Processing Time after Medical

Hi,

I am in Canada on a closed work permit I have applied for my spouse open work permit. Medical received 26 Jan 2021 medical is updated on site passed on FEB 11 2021. There is no passport request after that.

Anyone has any idea how much time it takes for passport request after medical exam. Is there any chance of refusal even after medical exam?

I have applied last year 28 Feb 2020 and received medical request on 26th of Jan 2021. Medical is updated and passed but there is no update afterwards.

I apply on Feb 2020 done my medical on Nov 2020 passed and no update yet. hopefully soon.

I have received the passport request for my kids only but not for wife. I think they have sent me biometric validity correspondence letter for my wife by mistake instead of passport request.

Do you guys know how to contact them through webform to ask about letter for my wife.

Even Iam on closed work permit and I have applied for my spouse open work permit. Medical received 15 Jan 2021, medical is updated on site passed on FEB 11 2021. There is no passport request after that. Its been 2 months but no update .Submitted Biometrics on 27 Jan 2021 but In online profile it is showing Biometric number and validity but under Biometrics section - it says need biometrics.

Let me know if any one have same situation and any update after that..

As per CIC website it is showing 6 weeks as average processing time for work permit from India

What is posted and reality are very different. Would look for others who are waiting for SOWP from India.

I applied for my Spouse's work permit on January 10th, Biometrics completed in Bangalore on January 24th. Still waiting for Medical examination request. Looks like processing is going to take a lot more time than 6 or 7 weeks

I applied for a work permit and received the medical request and it was done on the 18th of March all my dependents passed the medical except me which is the main applicant. I am confused as we did our medical test all on the same date.

Currently what is the expected timeline from the date of submission of application to the approval of open work permit.

Already have the medical and biometrics done for the PR application so expecting that to be used.
