SPOUSE OPEN WORK PERMIT APPLICATION IN CHANDIGARH

HEY GUYS,

I AM ON A WORK PERMIT IN EDMONTON, CANADA TILL APRIL 2014. MY WIFE SUBMITTED HER OPEN WORK PERMIT APPLICATION AT VFS-CHANDIGARH ON APRIL 23rd 2013, TWO DAYS LATER, ON APRIL 25th, SHE RECEIVED A TEXT SAYING HER PASSPORT HAS BEEN ACCEPTED AT CHANDIGARH HIGH COMMISSION, AFTER WHICH, THERE IS NO RESPONSE WHAT SO EVER.

I AM ALSO AWARE ABOUT THE STRIKE ACTION BY PAFSO UNION MEMBERS.

1. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF FILES ARE MOVING AT ALL AT CHANDIGARH HIGH COMMISSION ? IF YES THEN HOW LONG ITS TAKING UNDER PRESENT UNFORTUNATE CIRCUMSTANCES FOR SPOUSE OPEN WORK PERMIT APPLICATIONS ?
2. HAS ANYONE OR HIS/HER SPOUSE RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE OF ANY KIND FROM CHANDIGARH HIGH COMMISSION LATELY ? ??? ???

received text on 25/04/13. status as of 22/08/13 "under process".

did anyone received any response lately from Chandigarh embassy ?

any updates regarding strike ? I had read before on some thread that on Aug 22 there was suppose to be a meeting regarding strike action...

This wait is killing me day by day...

In cic site it's say processing time is 3 months but i don't know how long they will take it...

Has anyone received the medical request for SOWP.

This is all due to strike ...

one person who applied for s-owp on 8th april, visa approved waiting on passport... another person applied on 15th april got medical request . i applied on 26th april still no response hoping for best

congrats... and no ur VISA wont be refused after medical... they say it can be but i haven't heard any such scenario so don worry.

"finally medical received"

spouse OWP application submitted at VFS chandigarh on 23/04/13.
received text on 25/04/13.

email received for Medical from CIC on 30/08/13

status on VFS website :-

"Passport has been dispatched through Courier via Airway Bill #:. You can track your passport Status by visiting the website: www.bluedart.com.
Note: The airway bill no. will be updated on the website by the next working day from the dispatch date of your passport.Incase of Hold Passport Request: Your Passport has been held on Request at Delhi OC."

does anyone know what the above status means ? coz passport is already at the embassy and if it is why would they dispatch it before they receive medical ... can some one please explain.
