If you haven't actually entered Canada yet, then you haven't been issued work or study permits. The permits are issued by CBSA when entering the country. What country are you from? Are you referring to the TRV in your passport or an eTA??

Of course I wasn't issued a work or study permits. Nonetheless, at the time you are approved, the correspondences letter specifies the stipulated information you provided through the application process. A CBSA officer will perform an examination of documents and then decide. As @21Goose stated, you could, in theory be denied the actual permit. I am referring to the validity of the period granted by the correspondence letter issued by CIC, not the TRV in the passport. I am a EU citizen and my wife is from Brazil.

Chill. You stated multiple times "my study permit is valid..." and "my wife's OWP is valid...". You did not state that you were referring to the dates stated in the Letter of Introduction from IRCC.

Those dates refer to when you have to enter Canada by. It does not dictate the validity of the permit. CBSA decides that upon entry and you can expect that they will issue your spouse a work permit to match the validity of your study permit.

As an update to this issue, the staff at the Consulate got the dates wrong. They asked me to send the documents again to fix the dates to the proper duration.

Thanks to all.
