We are a non Filipino couples being processed in Manila, we applied from Japan. We got the transfer email Sept 28 and I would really like to know around what date of applications are getting PPR recently. Does anyone know? Is there a Whatsapp group for Manila? I’m having a hard time finding Manila info in English

My previous response to you was deleted for the "promotion" of a Facebook group that I thought would be helpful in your specific case. I'm just an ordinary member though so I found it weird but whatever.
Anyway, do you mind sharing why your application was transferred in Manila rather than somewhere in Japan? Also, can you please share your timeline?
Thank you for sharing that - I had joined it a long time ago and forgot about it.
Japan doesn’t have its own visa office. I think the only visa offices in Asia are New Delhi, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Manila. Manila is the visa office for all tourist and PR applications from Japan. Sometimes applications from Japan havealak stayes in Canada, from other people I’ve talked to. I don’t know why ours went to Manila. My husband has been in Japan eight years.
Our timeline is:
6/22: application sent to Sydney, NS
8/30: AOR
9/14: medical request (medical done next day in Tokyo)
9/18: medical passes on GC Key
9/28: email for transfer to Manila

That is very interesting. I've been lowkey wondering why there seem to be very few VOs mentioned in this forum. That is good to know. Thank you.
I was told by an IRCC agent that they will forward applications that are straightforward to CPC-Mississauga rather than to the local VO. This saves them time, apparently.
I’ve heard Missaussaga cases are also getting requests for more info. We were living together for two years and married so I’m not sure if it would be considered not straightforward. I’m a citizen by birth.
Hello everyone, may itatanong lang po sana ako but not related to timeline, about po dun sa proof of contact, ung screen shots po ng exchanges of messages namin through facebook messenger kailangan po bang itranslate namin or mag bayad po kami ng certified translator ?
