Spouse ECA necessary?

Hi All,

is it compulsory to get ECA for spouse education?

i know that if i get eca for spouse, then i will get more points. But i wanted to know only not getting the eca for spouse even though she had a bachelor's degree is misinterpretation or not?

No, if you're not claiming any points for her education it is not compulsory.

Do not include her education in your profile because if you receive an ITA you will be asked to provide proof. Once you do receive the ITA you can add her education in a section called "personal history" in this case you won't be required to provide any documentation.

just thinking about this again. can anyone clarify

during the EE profile creation i shouldn't mention about het education details? OR
i can mention about her bachelor's education details and after ITA also i can just submit het education docs. but i dont need to submit the ECA, as i am not claiming any points from her education.

Don't do that, either:

1 - Mention it in the education details AND provide ECA or
2 - Mention it in the personal history section

I'm going to assume you haven't received your ITA then?
