we applied for pr in H n C me n my mom last year this month i checked status it aats decision made and when i opn it i red they send us correspondence letter abt decision
can u pls explain they just last updated in april abt start processing on my file last week it says decision made what it could be m worried rply asap pls

You said better to wait for the PR card, which was wrong. It was not obvious that you meant proof of status instead of proof of citizenship, as those are entirely different things.

And being wrong is yours. It's fine, I'll keep correcting your posts so that others don't end up screwing up their applications.

And if you kept reading, he said " I have copr" and I said that was fine. And yes, because waiting a few weeks to send THE ORIGINAL card would have screwed the pooch on that app! Lol

Telling a PR sponsor it was fine to leave Canada for months could have screwed their app, as people are refused for that. Telling a person that they couldn't extend their visitor status and that their PR app would be refused when you had zero information to base that on could have seriously screwed them.

Thanks @canuck_in_uk , 1 more clarification, the spouse of the PA is the sponsor, so even the sponsor's details have to be filled up in IMM5406E , right??
Also, this form only needs to be updated by the PA or does the sponsor need to fill up a separate copy of this form, kindly clarify..

Hi @canuck_in_uk, there is a form called ADDITIONAL DEPENDANTS/DECALARATION, so for this form if the PA and the sponsor do not have any kids, this form will be Not Applicable, right, wherein the sponsor is the spouse of the PA?, please clarify this too.., thanks in advance..

Does anyone know the difference between security screening abd criminality?

application received Jan 10, 2017.

It was refused Jan 19, 2018 and re-opened Sept 4, 2018.

The standard processing time of 12 months does not apply in this non-routine file.



Sponsor and applicant eligibility has been met.

Security checks were initiated Oct 23, 2018 and are in progress. They cannot be expedited and timelines are not available.

Criminality has not started.

Medicals are valid until Oct 12, 2019.

Yes, the sponsor's details need to be listed. The sponsor does not fill out a copy.

The principle applicant information. And if your using the uci,i found that I had to use the - in the numbers. ****-****. Abd also the number of people included in the application, if you have no dependent is 2. The sponsor and PA

The sponsor is not a dependent.
