Spousal sponsorship

Hi,
I am new here. I applied for Spousal Sponsorship application. I sent the application on 1st, October. Today, my application got delivered at the address which was mentioned in checklist. I sent the application through courier. I didn't get any notification/confirmation email from them that they have received the application. Will they notify through email?

Yes but this will take months. Currently it seems like people who's applications were received in June are getting notified. So you've got a bit of a wait. They'll send it through email

You mean they will take months to confirm that they have received the application. Or you are talking about AOR?

That is the AOR1. They don't let you know they received it for a while.

We met online last march 2017 while im working here in Romania but im from the Philippines and he is a Romanian born citizen but now a holds a Canadian citizenship and continued our long distance relationship,he invited me to visits him last Sept 4,2018 and i stayed with him until september 29 coz i need to resume to my job here.he is legally separated and couldnt start with the process of his divorce yet due to financial situation.do you think we can apply for conjugal sponsorship?

Hello Seniors,

I am going to apply for my wife's PR under spousal outland category. In the package there is a form imm5669(Background/Declaration) where it says" You(the PA) and any of your family members 18 years of age or older(who are not already Canadian citizens or PR) must fill out and sign their own copy of this form"

This applies for me(the sponsor) and my wife(PA) only who are in this application, right? We both should fill out and sign copies of our own and none of the family members on both sides(who are not accompanying) should have to do this ..correct?

Please advise..thanks for your help in advance

NO THIS DOES NOT apply to you since you are the SPONSOR. They made few forms confusing. This was made for many categories of immigration applications that's why it asks for spouses infos as well. You, as a the sponsor are already a Canadian citizen or PR. You do not need to fill it out because you are not applying for coming to Canada for yourself. 100% confirmed from many sources. They should write clearly on the form, "If you are a sponsor please do not include yourself here" It won't cost them millions but save thousands of sponsor's doubts which you, me all ask or wonder everyday. No - you won't qualify for conjugal sponsorship since there is nothing stopping you from living together for a year to become common law.

No, Conjugal is only for those who can't marry, not those who won't. Financial reasons aren't seen as a reason you can't. It's more so for same sex couples in countries that it's illegal, places where divorce is illegal, ect. Not just because he can't afford to get divorced

Since you haven't lived together for at least one year, you would have to get married before you could apply.

If he lives in Canada, till he is divorced they will not recongnize anything. “Legally seperated” is just a reason to show when filing for divorce. Legally he is still on the hook.

I receive Pre-arrival invitation letter one week before but still waiting for passport request or DM.
and in my online account status been showing that,"they are doing background check". this update is been from last 2 months.
my question is how long i have to wait for passport request for my wife. and its necessary that she will receive interview. please let me know

To do common law you need to have lived together for at least one year.
