I doubt there is any standard response time for a PFL. I would expect it to be wholly dependent on the issue(s) raised in the PFL and the nature of your response.

i applied the same date as you and everything is completed but still stuck with the BackGround check! any idea how long it usually takes?

I got the Procedural Fairness letter last month regarding PA's eligibility.

I have submitted the response, now wondering when they will response, how much they take usually to response PFL?

I have surpassed the processing time.

can anyone share their PFL experience?

Standard processing times no longer apply to your application since you have received the PFL. It can take anywhere from a few weeks to many months to hear back from IRCC after the PFL response has been submitted. Normally you have to wait several months for a response. Beyond that it's really impossible to say how long you may be waiting.

I am not able to say how long our background check took. In reply to another thread, today I commented that my memory of what happened on what dates is less than perfect, but on May 2, 2023 I posted:

For us, GCKey says eligibility "in progress", background "not applicable".

On the other hand, tracker says eligibility "not started"; background "in progress".

In that earlier post today, I commented that, as of today(and for awhile now), GCKey shows both "in progress". Tracker says that eligibility started on May 24 and background was completed on June 27. I don't suppose that helps much with giving you an answer, since I cannot say for sure just when BGC started.

I take it that, in your case, eligibility has been completed. How long did that take? Do you know?

No, not yet approved. Your spouse needs to pass the medical, eligibility and background check.

Usually it goes fast up until the medical. After that it will be months. We had our medical done and completed in February and nothing since then. It's just a waiting game after that.

Yes, Canada allows it for PR s, both with existing cards and new PR visas. You should check with airline, however - they may not be aware and it doesn't help you if you can't get on the plane

For me, it took 8 months!

We have been stuck on the Principal Applicant's Eligibility/Background for the last 3+ months. Following the May 26th announcement, we decided to file a Dual Intent TRV application on June 26th. It's been about 3 weeks with no news on the TRV.

It's just a matter of patience, at this point.
