Hey guys I am about to move to Canada on PR. Still have a few months to go, spouse only has visit visa. What are the current wait times for Outland and Inland sponsorship? Wondering if I should first move there and apply or bring her on Visit visa and then apply.

are you already PR or is going to land with your COPR?
i just knew a case where spouse was not added before landing then apply for spousal sponsorship after that
the spouse won't be eligible in this case and they are getting PFL (high chance of rejection to me)
I have a COPR under outland spousal (Canadian) sponsorship. We stated a city in BC as our destination. Our property there is rented out and we would not be able to get into it for 4 months+ after we land.
The long term goal is to settle in BC, but in the short term Ontario is a much better financial option
Would there be any restriction / problem if we landed and settled in another province, (Ontario), living with family there, instead of making BC our landing destination?
I think I understand that when I am a permanent resident (and not provincial sponsorship or economic sponsorship), I can live wherever I want, but the landing destination is the concern.

Not an issue as long as destination not Québec
Does anyone know how long it takes to get PR after getting eCOPR? Also, has anyone traveled outside Canada on the PRTD Application for a permanent resident travel document? how long it takes to get it?

For the first question, you meant the PR Card right? For me, it was about 2 weeks (back in July 2024) but for now, I don't think we can say for sure. I would recommend you link the PR card application on your gckey to see the progress if you haven't done so.

Thank you for the information. I asked this for my wife. Yes, I meant PR. But we haven't received eCOPR yet. I am making a travel plan for my wife and anticipating that we will receive eCOPR in Feb 2025 (applied on P2 on 22 Nov 2024). Also, do we need to apply for a PR card separately as we have already paid for it?

Your first PR card will be sent to the address here in Canada (the one that you declared when you did P2)
Hi guys again I have a strange issue that I cannot figure out.
My wife who is sponsoring me is a citizen, and she never had UCI, now we cannot track anything on her tracker. Most of the people are talking about a sponsors tracker, but I feel like in most. of those cases the sponsors are PRs. Is there a way to get a UCI and create a tracker accopunt for the sponsor?

When she gets the application accepted email addressed to spnsor, it will have her UCI on it.

Thanks for the reply. However, our application has already been in process for about five months. Eligibility, biometrics, and medical exams are all completed on the PA's tracker, but my wife has not received any email whatsoever.

Nothing with an unidentified UCI?
If not - call IRCC and ask for it.
Has anyone applied for Outland as PR and gone for multiple trips in and out of the country? My job takes me to places regularly outside the country for 2-3 weeks a month.

Are you the sponsor or the applicant?
