You need to be living in Canada to submit the application to sponsor your spouse and must continue to primarily live in Canada while the application is being processed.

Hi everyone. I’m in a peculiar situation. Please I need a response.
An IRCC staff informed me that a letter has been sent out to my province for social assistance check.
It’s over a month, so I contacted my province to have a look at the letter and respond to it. They said they will if I can provide them with the “social service information request” application number.
They said the number starts with “F000”, but the spoisal application number I have starts with “F00”
Please does anyone have an idea of what this “social service information request “ application number might be?

I recently got married in May 2024, and I'm currently in the process of applying for a visitor visa for my spouse. I have a few questions about the application process and would really appreciate any guidance you can provide:
New Portal vs. Old Portal: Should I apply for the visitor visa through the new portal or the old portal? Is there a recommended option for spousal applications?
Duration of Stay: Since I have already applied for my spouse's sponsorship and received her AOR, do I need to specify that she will stay under six months or more than six months on the visitor visa application? Or do they understand that, as a spouse, she intends to stay indefinitely?
Financial Support: My spouse has never worked and was not studying until five months ago. I am supporting her financially. Will this affect our visitor visa application? Is it okay to state that I am supporting her and her income is coming from me?
Funds for Stay: The application asks how much money my spouse has for her stay in Canada, in Canadian dollars. Since she doesn't have an income and has sent me all her savings, how should we handle this question? Is there a specific number she should put there? Will showing my financial support through bank statements and other documents be enough, or are there additional supporting documents or funds we need to provide?
I was going to apply SOWP without AOR... as my work permit expires today.
when I sign in the IRCC,, mine was different as other people..
it has to show "visitor visa, study or work permit"
But mine doesn't have that options...
Do you guys know why???
I applied PR (inland) on June 2

I am currently sponsoring my spouse from Lebanon to come live with me in Canada. I submitted the application on June 18, 2024. A few days later, I received an email confirming that the IRCC has received my application and they also provided me with a UCI number and a Application number.
Is there anyone else who is sponsoring their spouse from Lebanon around the same time frame as myself?
I am hearing rumors that IRCC is speeding up applications from Lebanon due to the violent conflict taking place in the region.
This is all extremely stressful as the tension in Lebanon is rising and my spouse is mentally not okay due to the possibility of an all out war.
Please share any information you have regarding this matter.
