You see it online on GCKey.
It will change to "We are reviewing the additional documents you provided. " In my case it took 2 weeks until it changed.

I have a question, I applied for my spouse visa on July 2021 and we have received all the confirmation (medical request, biometrics, etc) but I'm still unable to link the applications online using the UCI and Application number? Is there a reason for that? I applied via mail.

Also, my spouse just received an email today IMM5801 - Pre Arrival Services letter, does this mean the PR was approved?

I am about to upload my documents, showing evidence that I will return to Canada, but my file is too big. I've put everything into 1 PDF, and the file is too big.

I assume I can split it into multiple files, right?

I don't want to submit 1 file, hit upload, and then it doesn't let me send them the rest of what I am trying to give them.

You would probably need to reduce the quality of the images to 200 dpi, before to add them to the PDF.

Of course this assumes you want to spend the time to do it yourself, if you're crunched for time then having an immigration consultant do things for you is a plus.

There are lots of timelines on the spreadsheet. Look at ones similar to your situation to get an idea about how fast your visa offive is moving.
