I am PR of Canada under my father entrepreneur visa. I am 29, engineer in Calgary. Got married Feb 2011 in Pakistan. I live in Canada, my wife is back in Pakistan. It is taking 2 years for sponsorship. My wife is eligible for Bachelor Degree in education and related field as she needs to start her bachelors by next year. Is it possible for her to get a student visa to study in Alberta if husband is PR?
You can try it but it is common that spouses of PR's and citizens who need a visa are refused temporary visas based on the risk of overstay if the sponsorship doesn't work out.
I am preparing an application to sponsor my wife. To prove that we are in a genuine relationship I am providing CIC with over 10 year of documents. There were emails exchanged between us at the beginning of our relationship which are not in English. I wonder if I need to translate these emails or a copy of the originals are enough?
You can send copies of the T4's as proof of income. I would suggest that you file your income taxes, you really don't want them piling up on you until you find yourself in arrears!
Yes I understand I am a bit behind... but... I willbe donig this.. I haev to mail a letter to PEI adn .. get my T4'S from there. but its taking so damn long... if I do teh sponsor application.. will this ... affect my eligibility to sponjsor him?
will I be rejected because I idont haev them done?
and I'm only part time and in subsidized housing.. and I have about 1000! saved up.. is that ok.. to sponsor him?
If you apply without proof of some kind of income, CIC can reject your application if they have doubts about your spouse's ability to support himself and the arrangements in place to fulfill your sponsor responsibilities. Take the time to prepare a well thought-out application, rather than rushing to apply without information that can address a serious issue. Better it take long now, and you are approved, than for it to be rejected and you have to appeal.
The fees are $1,040.00 in total just for the application. Additional savings outside of that is a good idea. Subsidized housing will not affect your eligibility.
Do you know if Happy International Tranlatsion
is a good place ot translate all documents?
I want to make sure I can trust it.. so did anyone use this before is it good and really approved by canada ?
