Guys, i need help. I cant figure out how a everything can change in a week. I need help understanding if this is the normal process.

We received ____ application for permanent residence on April 3, 2014.

We started processing ____ application on December 30, 2014.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on ____ application. The office will contact _____ concerning this decision.

Congratulations for Decision Made. Soon you will receive PPR1

FYI how much time do they allow the applicant to stay in pakistan after the PPR2 is completed? as my wife's medical is to expire end of Feb.

after this still no update no letter..
plz someone explain whole process how much time it takes to complete or done whole process
what will my next ecase update ???
im upfront medical applicant so when i got re-medical and other Documents request???
does anyone with same timeline????
what is ppr1 & ppr2???

It means "sponsorship application" part is approved by CPC-Mississauga, meaning ur allowed to sponsor.

Now the "permanent residence" application of the sponsored person will be processed.

If they sent an email, u will NOT receive letter. If u did not give email, then letter will come.
Check your junk mail folder and email carefully.

Since decision has been made and they have not called re-medical, it seems medical has been extended for another 12 months. So, till then she can stay in Pakistan but wait till you hear anything from them. Please share your timeline.

SALAM friends.. my file is in london ,went directly there.. received aor in july but file received on may 16,2014.. mine is nikkah+engagement case.. any suggestions.. when should i expect anyting?? dnt know which files they are wokrking on.. my friend filled case in oct 2013 but no response yet...

How the spousal sponsorship works i.e. Steps

London Visa Office Processing time is 11 Months

Dear all just for the clarity i m posting the process of Family sponsorship for understanding of all of thread members.

Phase 1: Sponsor's Approval


1. Sponsorship application submission (AT CPC-Mississauga)

2. First Email: application of sponsorship received by CPC-Mississauga (with in a week time or 10 days)

3. 2nd email: Sponsorship approval and File is sent to London Visa office for further processing (with in 1 month)
or if you are an old applicant (Islamabad Visa Office) then your file is transferred to LVO. whether you get email or not your file is in London.


Phase 2: Visa Office Stage (Principle Applicant or Spouse)



Steps: Eligibility Assessment (Relation is Genuine or not) > Re-Med if required > Back ground checks > PPR 1 > PPR2 > Visa Issued

5. Eligibility Assessment: Additional documents or Interview request from LVO to assess eligibility.(between 5-8 months is my best guess) Interview will most likely held in Islamabad but interviewer will be a person from LVO not from Islamabad (Interview is only to assess whether relationship is genuine or not).

6. background checks will be done after relationship is confirmed by Visa officer.

Passport request is Two step process as Pakistani law does not permit sending passport out of country

7. Passport request 1. PPR1 sending copies of the passport and pictures to LVO (30 days) (immediately send to LVO on given address)
after receiving your copies of passport and pictures. LVO will issue Visa and COPR issued as per your passport and send it to Islamabad

8. Passport Request 2. PPR2. Original passport and return address needs to be sent to Islamabad. (usually 30-45 days after PPR1) Send PPs through TCS visatronics

9. Visa is being pasted on Passport. VISA along with COPR is sent to your return address.

10. You are ready to land.........

The letter says the passport will be returned in 2 weeks. My wife sent the passport on Nov 12,2014 but have not received it yet!

Any idea how long does it take?

Same as yours. Application filed in may, file transfer in July. Nothing after 'Medical results have been received'.

A.A! I inquired from LVO through e-mail and their reply (about a week ago) is as under.
“Dear Applicant,
We are writing with regards to your application for permanent residence in Canada.
We haven’t sent you a passport request. Please note that this file is still ongoing routine background checks.
We will be in touch when they are complete."

Kindly share experience how much further time it takes to complete routine background checks, pls?

Ok let me explain you the procedure.... sometimes they change the status to decision made... and forward an email or request to CHC- Islamabad... that I have completed with the case... please continue your back ground check once done... we will send PPR request....

Sometime they send the PPR request during the background check is ongoing----

CHC-Islamabad sends a copy to POlice in pakistan from where the Police clearence certificate was issued... and they sent the clearance back to CHC islamabad... so sometime police in pakistan takes a long time....

They problem is the corrupt system in Pakistan... people get Police clearance certificate in a day or 2 days in Pakistan... the actual procedure to get the police clearence certificate is minimum 15 days.. so police without any checking they issue the police clearance certificate... ... yaar ab khud soch CHC-Islamabad ko doubt to hogaaa.....

so [please wait for it and relaxx you will ghet the PPR

I think cic verify police certificate from foreign office as they are authorize for verification and attestation of police certificate. those who submit police certificate attested from foreign office, get their background check faster. because foreign confirmed their own stamp and record, and confirm the authenticity of certi to cic. otherwise foreign office get verification from concerned dpo office first before returned doc to cic.
