I didn't use the inquiry web form. I sent the email on their email address and my file transferred to LVO on 24th August.

Yes , I am from Multan. Are you from Multan too?
Sponsor wife on NIKKAH only.
Can someone help me who has gone through something similar. I am a Canadian PR (Currently residing in Ontario) and want to sponsor my wife (Currently residing in Lahore, Pakistan). We got a nikkah in Lahore in June 2017 and the other marriage ceremonies are planned for April 2018. Can I start the application to sponsor her right now?

Yes you can start the process now. They might consider "No rukhsati" situation as a weak point in your case. They ask for interviews and send PFLs to anybody. You can send them the updates when rukhsati is done.

Thanks Aryan007. I am very new to this but I am researching heavily. Can you tell me what a PFL is? I am also trying to hire an immigration lawyer to start my application. I figured that since it is a No-Rukhsati situation, it might be better to do it through a professional who has handled such cases before.

I would suggest you not to apply on the basis of Nikkah only. Nikkah only applications are considered weak cases and incomplete marriage, gets questioned a lot, asked for Rukhsati pictures and cases are postponed until after Rukhsati has taken place. If you guys can wait, better to start collecting relationship proofs, communication proofs, visit to pakistan proofs and then apply after Rukhsati, Walima and honeymoon has taken place.

PFL is a procedural fairness letter which is like a last chance to provide explanation or required documents before the immigration refuses upur application.
Go through the spreadsheet link in my signature and look at the timeline of Nikkah only cases. I have been on this thread long enough to suggest you to apply after complete marriage.

You are on PR, not Canadian citizen. I think, you can not go outside Canada once you sponsor to your wife.

PRs can go out of Canada, ofcourse. To sponsor spouses they need to be back in Canada to apply. And while the application is in progress, the PR sponsor can visit/go for a vacation for 4 to 6 weeks. The point is that they need to he residing in Canada to sponsor their spouse.

Dan403 .. another thing that we all will highly recommend and suggest is that please dont hire an immigration lawyer if u dont want to go thru headachs. We r all here to help you out. As MM345 has mentioned, she, along with few others, who hv received their visas, are more than willing to help and guide you. The thing with lawyers is that u dobt hv access to online govt accts and then ur heavily relying on this one human who doesnt give a shit abt ur case, as he only cares abt the money ur payin them. Go back several pages and u will hear ppl who had lawyers telling us not to get one as they a pain in the behind .. agay ap ki marzi ..

Thanks

Hi, Im not sure about that as the longest my husband stayed out of Canada to visit me during the process was 6 weeks. That caused us no trouble and thats what i recommend to PRs whose applications are in process.
Im sorry i cant help you with the online forms as we applied through the old system and never had to upload forms (we sent everything with the application package). I hope some other 2017 applicants can help you out.
I just got the sms today so you should be soon now as well
Yup, finally got the message today as well! PP ready for pickup

Thanks for the replies everyone. I will start the application myself. I have to see if I should apply right now or apply after shadi/ consummation of marriage in April 2018. Preferably, I want to get here to Canada ASAP after that, is there a way to apply for a visa, say a visit visa, for her so that she can join me in April 2018?
Also, I am currently a PR recently put in my Citizenship application.
