I have received passport request today on June 2, 2017 by mercy of Allah in blessed month of Ramadan. Cic requested Remedical on May 10 and remedical was done on Monday May 22, 2017.


I have received email stating:

Dear Sir/ Madam,



This regards your application for Permanent Residence in Canada. Please see letter attached with this email and submit the requested information/ documents within 30 days of the date of this email.

Wow.. that was really fast. I got my re-medical done on 31st of May. I hope i get it soon too. Masha'Allah, really happy for you.

Could you share if its okay that didnthey ask for any additional information or documents in year 2017?

In my case, there was no upload option available in MyCIC. So I mailed them by post and sent them through email as well.

I think it doesn't make much difference if you upload it or send it via mail as far as VO finds it in time. Which in your case they already did. I think you are almost done with the process

Guys when sending the additional docs I am planning to mail them and send via email to [email protected]. That should be fine right? I have not linked to myCIC since I have a lawyer.

you should link your account. Yes you can send documents to this email address but make sure the file size is less than 14mb.

Just received from IRCC that they are awaiting documents, specifically my wife's birth certificate.

My wife was born in Pakistan and says she does not have a Birth Certificate. She moved to UK when she was nine ( a long time ago) She does have a Nadra card (and a NICOP card).

How would we go about confirming with Nadra that no birth certificate is available, or how to get one while I we are in the UK?

Hello - it is my understanding that birth certificate is an absolute must. No other document that you will submit as an "alternate" will be accepted by the Immigration Department.

My husband has the same issue, he doesn't have a birth certificate, and therefore, he will be going back to the city that he's born in and getting a certificate from there.

My two cents on the issue:

1) write a detailed letter explaining the situation and why your wife does not have a birth certificate, and back it up by other documents -- I do believe if you choose to go this route, there are chances, they won't accept your letter because the application clearly states that no other alternative documents will be accepted.

2) going back to her city of birth and getting a new birth certificate made (i am unsure how to do this, but can check to find out).

Just checked the format of MYCIC has been changed. New options like Biometric etc are added.
One thing untill tomorrow the status was "the documents you provided has been uploaded"
Today in new formate the status is "we need additional documents to process your application"
There is no new message in MYCIC and also there is no new option to upload document. I also checked ECAS and there is no new correspondence message.
Any idea why the status about additional documents went to previous status

Passport submitted 18-May and received on 05-June.

It is a system error, this message is showing to everyone so no need to worry about it.
