I am requesting GCM notes so there is this form we need to fill out. I suppose I need to fill out section a,b,c right? In the 3rd section they are asking for the designated individuals info, do we need to fill out that as well?

Yes u need the consent form filled and signed by the principal applicant. Sponsor needs to apply online and pay the fee and upload the consent form. Notes arrive in sponsor's email.

Make sure you use the October-2016 version of the consent form.

I swear this has become so depressing! they are just NOT moving at the same pace as they were in 2016! more frustrating is the fact that we don't even know the reason behind their slow down or when this this dry spell will end. Its been horrible since the time CIC announced that they will cut processing times by half.. their pace has plummeted since then! :mad:

There are different steps when visa officers assess ur ability to meet PR requirements. One of them is Background checks which include ur criminal history, affiliations with political or government or military institutions and your travel history (where u stayed for more than 6 months).
This step is done by a separate agency and not the visa officers.
