I just had this question...
When you send the passport to Islamabad, is there any self pick-up option when the passport comes back? My wife lives in a weird area and I dont trust the courier service with the Passport there so is there any option that you can go and pick up the passport from the courier office yourself?

Why is it taking them so long to give the COPR
10th day today
settle down. you'll get it soon. you're lucky to have gotten PPR so quickly, because there's so many who applied before you who are still waiting.

June comes after May Applicants (us) 8)
The way LVO is doing now a days, we should be 2-3 months away. Hopefully.

I am from Karachi. Whats the procedure for self pick-up? Do you have to tell the courier company that you are going to pick it up yourself or what?

Ok so i have a humble request for all those who got straight PPRs..
Can u guys highlight the following? This will be of IMMENSE help for ppl who are planning to apply and for those who still have a chance to send volutary proof of relationship..
1) what all u included in ur proof of relationship and all? How many photos?
2) How many months of pre and post marrage proof u showed?
3) How many visits did u show where sponsor and PA lived togather
4) were u only nikkah cases of rukhsati cases?
5) whether u hired a lawyer or consultant?
Aboslutely any tip which u think could have made ur file a quick processing worthy one..
I really hope and hope ppr ppl will help..
All the best for all of them in their new lives
1) 65 pictures of all the events: date fixing ceremony, mehr, nikkah, rukhsati (no qur'an over head pics), 2 outings. No walima. Along with this, I printed almost 300 pages of whatsapp convos since the day we entered into a relationship. Boarding passes.
2) three to four months of pre-marriage proofs (just the whatsapp convo logs, btw. I had nothing more than this for the pre-marriage time). And for post-marriage it was also just three months, this time including convos, call logs, greeting cards.
3) none, just the actual visit to get married. Lived together 2 weeks post-marriage.
4) rukhsati, but no walima. I mentionned we will have one later on.
5) no lawyer
Tips: I firmly believe one does not need a lawyer for spousal/pgp sponsorship. If you fill out all the required forms properly, provide all required documents/proofs, and explain everything in detail, and your explanations seem genuine enough (+proofs for those explanations), then I see no reason as to why CIC would require an interview or reject even. Read read read and browse a lot on the net before applying. A lot of the questions people ask on here can be easily answered with a simple google search, or by looking through the spreadsheet and the canpakvisa FAQ in my signature (bless mercy24 for creating it!). Avoid sending anything you have not been asked for. I did not send anything voluntarily. If you provided everything in your initial application then they should not ask for more unless there is some missing info or inconsisties/doubts. I never inquired with my MP either (though I did send an email to my MP about my concerns of not hearing anything at my 10th month mark...the same day I got remedical request so I did not bother going into the office to sign the permission form). Patience is a virtue. Pray. Everything will turn out to be fine.

No, of course not the forms! Just excessive proofs you might have sent, such as a gazilion pages of converations. I wouldn't worry about it though. If they shred something, it is to make everything simpler.
