Spousal sponsorship from Afghanistan 2017

Hello everyone I am new to this page and just have a few questions about my application, I would love if others in the same situation share info about their application as well.

I am currently sponsoring my husband from Afghanistan. My application was received March 20 2017, it is being processed in New Delhi and it was received in India on April 20th, 2017. I had submitted a complete application package (including police and medical checks) the medical expired in September and the police check will expire this December. My background check has been in the "in process" stage for 3 months now and I am just wondering if anyone knows approximately how much longer it will take to be complete? Also what comes after the background check?

After the background check is done, if all goes well, you get DM (which stands for Decision Made). If not then, your VO may ask you to send in more proofs/ documents. How long does the background check stay in "in process"? Well that varies by VO, and sometimes even within the same VO. Yours has been "in process" for 3 months, which is totally normal regardless of VO. I have sponsored my fiancé in Afghanistan (I’m an afghan girl in Australia) . I was wondering did you partner have to do a police check in Afghanistan and if yes , where did he go to do it ? I can’t find Afghanistan listed anywhere
