Hi there,

Please enlighten us regarding our concerns. Thanks in advance.

* Spousal sponsorship

1. What is the minimum income requirement to sponsor a spouse?

2. What is the required number of months/years of employment to sponsor a spouse?

3. What if the sponsor has a part time job only, can he/she eligible to sponsor his/her spouse?

4. If the sponsored person had previous marriage, is the annotated marriage cert is enough as a supporting document?

* Before I sponsor my future spouse, i would like to ask about the civil wedding in the philippines:

1. What are the requirements for civil wedding in the philippines?

2. If one of the partners had previous marriage, can he/she submit the annotated marriage cert instead to obtain a marriage license?

3. How long does it take to complete all the requirements for civil wedding? (if one of the partner had previous marriage)

Have a good day!

1. No minimum income requirement for a spouse or dependent children. But if you are not employed, it would be helpful to write a letter explaining how you plan to support yourself and spouse. If family will help you, get the person(s) to write a letter stating this.

2. None. See #1.

3. Yes. See #1.

4. If there was a previous marriage, include a copy of the divorce certificate. This shows CIC that the person was divorced before they married their new spouse.

No idea about weddings in the Philippines. Perhaps others could help.
