Hi there. I'm a Canadian currently in the process of sponsoring my British husband. We have a question about the Additional family declaration, IMM 5406 form.
My partner's step-father and mother were never married and his step- father's name is not on his birth certicate. Although he raised my partner along with his mother from a child he never made a legal adoption. As for my husband's biological father, he resides in a different country and although he knows his name they have never met, and dont have a relationship.
Do we declare his step-father in the additional family form? Or his biological father. All we could put in the other fields for him is 'unknown' or n/a.
Should we just list his mother and not declare step-father or biological father?
We're so confused! Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you
