How long it takes to get a decision after completing background check, medical, eligibility and biometric ?
 
Hello everyone My PR got approved yesterday. It was long and painful process but finally Yesterda My PR was approved. Here is my timeline.

Application Received- 03 June 2020
Biometrics- 8 Feb 2021
Medical Done- 10 March 2021
SA- 04 May 2021
Application Transferred - 26 July 2021
Long time did not hear anything.
Pre Arrival Letter- 12 December 2022
Work Permit Approved- 16 December 2022
Sent to Fill IMM 5669 Form- 19 December 2022
Work Permit Approved- 15 December 2022
Work Permit in mail-22 December 2022
PR Approved- 28 December 2022

They just simply slept on your file. Who is the sponsor? They should take help from MP. Its not taking that long even for outland applicants these days.

Hi all! I am a September 2021 applicant. In October my file was sent to the Mississauga processing center (no reason given in the notes). I got approval in principle on August 2022. However, my file has been stuck in the background check stage for almost a year now. According to the notes the officer was satisfied that our relationship was genuine and the sponsor was approved. I applied for an open work permit in January and my file for that just got transferred to Etobicoke. My MP was also recently told that my applications are being treated as "non-routine" and the timeline doesn't apply. Any insight into what the situation may be?
