Spousal application transferred to Etobicoke

Hi This is just FYI.. I had applied for renewal of my Open Work permit on 20th May , and today i received a letter that OWP is extended until final decision is made on my application.. looks like this is new thing due to COVID 19 delays ...

Maybe try ordering notes because there has been some updates recently from that office. Every application is different but I am a 2019 applicant and file was transferred there in December 2020 and I heard from their office at the end of April 2021...

WE HAVE KIDS OUTSIDE CANADA THATS WHY THE MEDICAL WAS DONE TWO DATES.... YES, FILE TRANSFER DEC 2020... SILL WAITING FOR DM & COPR THATS CORRECT

My file was transferred to etobicoke in august 2019 till now no update ircc have not contacted me in these 22 months

They called me without an appointment and I talked to them for about 35 minutes and at the end they said that we will inform you of a virtual interview by email.


is it the same as you ?


And how long did it take between a calland get rmail for virtual interview ?

Where’s your file in Etobicoke with Officer or registry?

I feel like it does not matter. If I am not mistaken your file was assigned to an officer and you’ve been waiting for a long time. From my notes I know my file was assigned to an officer twice with a due date and nothing happened. In April when I made an inquiry for an update with my MP’s office, they said it has been assigned to an officer again for the third time and still nothing happening even though it has been more than a month. I guess Etobicoke office is not following the rules as they may not have to for the reason of complex application in their literature…
