Hello everyone,
I do have the same case. I withdrew my sponsorship application last July 2022, I only received an acknowledgment letter from the Visa Office so far as per my agent. Our online status application still -In Process. I also wonder how long the IRCC does the IRCC update our status to Withdrawn.

You have to write a letter and sign it . Then send it through webform and in webform you have to select Withdrawal option. Without a written and signed letter they will not withdraw .

I already sent a letter of withdrawal last August. Do you have any idea how long more should I wait to receive a letter form them that they honoured the withdrawal letter?

Hello everyone,

I need your help and guidance for my situation. I am a Canadian PR and sponsored outland application for my spouse. Her biometrics, medical, background and eligibility is showing completed in the family sponsorship tracker. Application status shows in progress with no COPR so far. I assume VO is Ottawa. We are not in good terms since last one year. I am having second thoughts about this sponsorship so I have submitted a webform for withdrawal few days ago. Received an automatic reply that "Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) etc."

Question is whether my withdrawal will be successful and what else I can do to stop the application process. Thank you for your response.

The Law :
You can withdraw your sponsorship application at any time before the person you’re sponsoring becomes a permanent resident of Canada.

You may be able to get a refund if we haven’t started processing your application.

Did they acknowledge that they received your documents and sent to visa officer for review? I will suggest you again submit new signed withdrawal letter through webform again.

Yes, they did acknowledge the waithdrawal letter that we sent last August 2, 2022.

Hi, I did submit a webform in emotional distress about withdrawal of my husband's spousal sponsorship application. I am deeply regretting it now as I have sent numerous webforms to IRCC already that we do not wish to continue the withdrawal.

But, I am stressed now that they will withdraw our application. I have not yet sent any written signed letter from either side about the withdrawal, just the webform.

Can you please inform me if you have any idea, what will happen next?
